Unique Walnut Crimson Caster

Unique Guitar Bolin style superlight Tribute Crimson Caster

One of kind Unique Guitars home brew.

Specially commissioned to showcase some of our own unique work and ideas.

This little Tele was inspired by the legendary work of John Bolin, supplier of hand crafted Guitars to the stars. Including the tone legends himself, “the Rev Willie G” Billy Gibbons.

We basically robbed the idea from them, but they have some cool things going on and we really wanted to have a play around.

The more astute amongst you will notice the reverse headstock, but things get a bit more technical after that, and if you’ve ever wanted to mix up the feel and sound of a traditional tele with a Les Paul, this is how you might go about it.

It works for Billy so we aren’t going to stray too far from the Rev’s ideology.

Birds eye maple fingerboard on a maple neck with a reverse headstock, handmade by Ben Crow and our brilliant mates at Crimson Guitars. (Cheesy logo we know! but C Caster, for Crimson Caster just seemed to work at the time.

Gibson scale length on a telecaster body, we love that.

Brass nut and nickel free fret wire.

Re-topped with an oil finished burled walnut top and bound with an industrial style finish on the rear and sides.

Breathable oil finished maple neck.

Top of the range schaller locking tuners.

Flat plate Telecaster bridge.

Cream T custom, “Banger” pickups. The same ones used by Billy Gibbons and supplied direct and hand wound by Thomas Neilson of Cream T. From the Pre production batch of bangers, these things were £350 on their own, so trust us when we say no expense was spared in making this Unique guitar.

anyways

we love the howl this things got with the soft feel of the Gibson scale mixed with the look and twang of the Tele, then fling in the cream T’s to the mix and this thing just takes off.

Confuses the hell out of many players until they take a proper look at what’s going on.

The neck is styled on a chunky 59 Les Paul that we had the luck to play and set up, and the boss loved the neck on that guitar so much, he recorded all the measurements. They guys at Crimson then manufactured the neck to our exact spec.

It’s not a guitar that everyone’s going to love, but in the right players hands this thing is just absolutely  insane.

At the shop we like playing and modifying guitars, this is one of our own creations and can be commissioned to look and sound just like this one or be completely customised to your specification.

Everything’s an option from the contoured body down to paint colours and amount of distress.

All at a very affordable price point. The specifications are only limited by your imagination everything else is up for grabs.

You think it we’ll do it.

The basic guitars starts at around £600 to £700 and additional costs are dependent solely on spec.

Word of Warning,

Don’t order if you expect instant delivery.

We only have a few examples in the shop as demos, everything else is cooked freshly to order.

These Guitars originally start out as affordable Chinese Fenders or Epiphone’s, Telecaster and Les Pauls and are then transformed and aged to our liking.

the only thing left from this guitar is parts of the original body blank, everything else has been modified and upgraded.

We offer the same work on US Gibson and Fenders, but this is priced a bit more aggressively and is only for the truly dedicated customer, who just can’t rest until his axe is personalised and modified to their exact liking. US models are all priced individually based on sourcing the correct guitar to start the transformation.
